Light it Before it Burns

The feature-length documentary Light it Before it Burns follows a group of biologists and ecologists who advocate for controlled burning as a means of preventing large, uncontrolled wildfires and as a tool that benefits biodiversity. The story explores our relationship with fire in this era of climate change.
The film presents fire not merely as a destructive force, but as a tool for transformation and renewal. It explores the complex dynamics between destruction and regeneration and reveals how fire can be a key means of protecting and restoring nature in times of ecological challenges.

The film’s premiere is scheduled for fall 2026, and it is set to air on ČT in spring 2027.
