The documentary film First-Time Voters 2021 follows the development and formation of political views among several young people from diverse social backgrounds and schools, ranging from apprentices to students at a private high school, in the lead-up to their first chance to vote in the 2021 election. The film’s protagonists hold views across the political spectrum and through their eyes, we navigate the various stages of the pre-election campaign, learning what matters most to them in their lives and what their expectations are for the future.
The documentary is a collective portrait of a generation, capturing their ideas about adulthood, the future, and the state of our society.
